It’s that time of the year. Bring out the pumpkin everything. Especially this drool-worthy pumpkin pie smoothie bowl.

Why is that word so comforting?

… pumpkin…ahhhhhh, Yes.

Fall, I see you. This pumpkin pie smoothie bowl hits that comfy spot, with some extra surprise nutrition.

Not only will you devour each n’ every spoonful of this deliciousness (and lick the bowl), but you’ll also reap the benefits of a couple secret ingredients. I’m talking about Pranin’s Iron and Vitamin C powders sourced straight from whole foods.

Why take Iron and Vitamin C together? Vitamin C enhances the absorption of the iron in your GI tract.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl

The beauty of using these whole food supplement powders is that you’re getting the good stuff from whole food sources! The vitamin C and Iron comes from a blend of organic curry leaves, amla berries and moringa leaves. Boom.

Protein-Packed Vegan Almond Banana Muffins | Gluten-Free

September lunch boxes just got a whole lot yummier.

These Nana’Nut Muffins are ones for the box.

Almond flour packs the protein punch here. Find it in the store… or make your own!

How? Whip up some homemade almond milk, then instead of throwing the almond pulp in the compost, dry it out (in a dehydrator at 110F for 10 hours, or in the oven for 2 hours at the lowest setting), then blend it to a flour!

Devour these warm with some homemade jam, or pack them away for your next day at the office or adventure in the mountains.

Simple Creamy Tomato Pasta with Chick’n | Vegan + Oil-Free

A week night dinner saviour!

This pasta is super delish, and takes no time.

The creaminess? Hello cashews.

The simple-ness? Hello blender.

Pretend you’re a top chef for a minute with out actually having the credentials.

The biggest bonus of it all? The creaminess and decadent mouth feel we all crave… doesn’t have to come from the cow!

As for the vegan chick’n; it can be taken out completely, or replaced with any other kind of vegan meat you like. I’m thinking cauliflower ground round would be delish in here from Big Mountain Foods, or Gusta sausages, or Very Good Butcher’s bangers, or Field Roast sausages, or a little more indulgent Gardein or Yves ground round. Make this multiple times, and switch it up every time!

Why not add a side of steak? Cauliflower steak that is… Just douse a thick slice of cauliflower in your fave sauce (used Naked Coconut Teriyaki for this one), and sear them on the BBQ for 4-5 minutes a side!

Don’t forget to whip up some ridiculously easy vegan parm.

Basic Vegan Peach Crisp | 10 Ingredients

A basic vegan peach crisp as basic as your 2nd grade art class!

There’s nothing like a dessert with gourmet feels that you can whip up and devour in an hour.

Make the most of the end of the juicy peach season, and load up on those juicy peaches at the next Farmer’s Market.

Eat it for dessert. Eat it for breakfast. Because YOLO;)

No dairy butta’ needed for this beauty.

Top it off with coconut whipped cream or banana ice cream, and enjoy!

The Dessert Queen’s Basic Veganized Peach Galette | Mom’s Specialty

My Mom is the dessert queen. Always has been and always will be. The only difference over the last few years is that the desserts she’s always made…the ones that have earned her the title…are now veganized. I’m talking about the dense chocolate flourless Sachertorte Cake (best birthday cake), her amazing fruit crisps, her Tarte Tatin (insanely delicious), and now this, the Peach Galette (the best way to put these seasonal peaches to use).

Thanks to Mom for veganizing old faves.

She’s been plant-based now for about 3 years. Ever since reading The China Study, and Eat to Live, she was hooked on the disease prevention, energy boosting and longevity aspects of veganism. Then she watched all the documentaries around…. Cowspiracy and Forks Over Knives, and dove into Dr. Gregor’s Nutrition Facts.org… Her main reason is the desire to live a long, healthy life as the athlete and energizer bunny she is, so we can continue to bike, ski, and now kite board (we’re both learning!) together. I’m so grateful that she and my step Dad are on the plant train.

Ok, moving on with this dessert.

First of all, I want you to know that you can easily veganize any of your fave baking.

Eat enough calories and a variety of plants, and you’ll be getting what you need, and then some.

If you’re actively building muscle, pregnant, in your teens, or in the second half of life, just lean into the higher protein plants a little more: tempeh, tofu, beans, legumes, greens, seeds, seitan, nutritional yeast, quinoa, pumpkin seeds…

That’s it. That’s the secret.

Not to mention the glorious package plants come in:
- hello prebiotic fibre, phytonutrients, water content, antioxidants, minerals …
-  goodbye saturated fat & hormones & cholesterol & animal agriculture and all the detrimental effects that has on everything and everyone 🫶…

Protein, but a nicer package.

🐾 Animals are sentient. They feel pain, fear, comfort, connection, and love. They are also the most vulnerable beings in our world and deserve the all love and protection we humans can offer.

Next time you’re hugging your dog, think about how lucky they are to be safe in your arms… and then ask yourself: 

Why wouldn’t all animals deserve that same love and care?

There’s no doubt that the Summit for Animals sparked more inspiration for all the 500+ attendees 🐾

Where are my breakfast-for-dinner people at?! Tof Where are my breakfast-for-dinner people at?!

Tofu scramble for the win again.

This time I used all three tofus 👌
One each: firm, medium, and soft.
It made the best scramble texture.

How to:
	•	Sauté ½ red onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, 8 chopped mushrooms, and 1 orange pepper

	•	Add 1 tbsp @shaniseasoning vegan egg spice
or: ½ tsp turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder, black salt, smoked paprika + 1 tbsp nutritional yeast

	•	Crumble in 3 tofu blocks

	•	Mix together and serve with your favourite sourdough and a mega salad

	•	Top with @sriracha_ca and green onion

💪🏽 20–30 g protein on this beauty plate 🤤

No egg peeling, no cholesterol, no chicks involved 🐣 allllllll deliciousness.
